W Margaret Atkins, Pat Karisch and Rhoda Gersch, instructors for Barn Quilt Block painting classes and founders of the Winchesters Quilt Block Trail, will once again teach classes at the International Quilt Festival in Houston on Nov. 1-2.

The Fayette Heritage Museum and Archives in La Grange is opening a new exhibit, “Rev. Carl Baer: German Missionary to Waldeck,” beginning Saturday, November 4. The exhibit is built around an extremely large collection of photographs, documents, and other memorabilia donated in recent years by members of Rev. Baer’s family who now live in Maryland.

M Pin Oak Cemetery had their annual clean up day recently. The volunteers came out and mowed, trimmed and manicured the cemetery.

C A turkey and dressing meal, sponsored by the Martin Luther Lutheran Women of the ELCA, will be held on Nov. 12.
