Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Oct. 1-8.
Animal Complaint
On Oct. 1, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 300 block of N. Horton for an animal in the residence.
On Oct. 2, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of S. Washington in regard to an animal complaint.
Agency Assist
On Oct. 3, Wostarek responded to 2 W Bluffview for an agency assist.
On Oct. 7, Officer Timothy Medack assisted on an assault call in the 800 block of Eckel.
Accident
On Oct. 2, Medack was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Travis in regard to an accident.
On Oct. 6, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to the 400 block of E. Eblin for a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.
Burglary
On Oct. 1, Keeney responded to the 200 block of N.
Madison for a burglary.
On Oct. 4, Officer Kevin Currington followed up on a burglary in the 200 block of N. Madison.
Civil Matter
On Oct. 6, Officer Steven Haynie spoke with a subject regarding a civil matter in the 400 block of W. Colorado.
Driving While Intoxicated On Oct. 7, Haynie arrested s subject in the 1900 block of Hwy 159 for driving while intoxicated. Disturbance
On Oct. 1, Anderson re-ceived a call in regard to a disturbance in the 500 block of W. Lowerline.
Family Violence
On Oct. 2, Wostarek was dispatched to the 700 block of E. Fannin in regard to a disturbance and one subject was arrested.
Harassment
On Oct. 4, Anderson received a call in regard to possible threats and harassment in the 800 block of E. Milam.
Juvenile Complaint
On Oct. 4, Currington was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Guadalupe for a possible juvenile disturbance.
On Oct. 6, Officer Curtis Zwahr spoke with a caller in regard to a juvenile complaint in the 300 block of S. Jackson.
On Oct. 7, Anderson received a call regarding suspicious circumstance or juvenile issue in the 300 block of Fireside. Loud Music
On Oct. 1, Anderson received a call in regard to loud music in the 1000 block of E. Travis. Officer checked the area and could not find anything.
On Oct. 7, Medack was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Ellinger in regard to a noise complaint.
On Oct. 7, Medack was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Brown in regard to a noise complaint.
On Oct. 7, Anderson located loud music from a residence in the 200 block of S. Lester. Music was turned down and call cleared.
Public Intoxication
On Oct. 5, Officer Brett Meinardus was advised of an intoxicated subject that left St. Mark’s hospital with an IV still attached.
Stolen Vehicle
On Oct. 2, Medack was dispatched to the 400 block of S. Main in regard to a stolen vehicle.
Scam
On Oct. 3, Medack was dispatched to the 1600 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a scam.
On Oct. 4, Anderson received a call in regard to a scam in the 500 block of S. Cindy Lane.
Suspicious Vehicle/Person On Oct. 5, Officer Jeffrey Archerd checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 800 block of S. Vail. The vehicle belonged to a student.
On Oct. 5, Anderson received a call for a suspicious person in the 100 block of E. Travis, On Oct. 6, Anderson received information on a suspicious person in the 2300 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business.
Terroristic Threat
On Oct. 5, Currington was dispatched to the 800 block of N. Jefferson for harassment.
Traffic Hazard
On Oct. 6,Anderson spoke with complainant in regard to vehicles passing a school bus at one of its regular stops in the 1300 block of N. Jefferson, creating an unsafe situation.
Theft
On Oct. 1, Keeney responded to the 400 block of S. Jefferson for a reported theft.
On Oct. 4, Keeney responded to the 200 block of N.
Water for a bicycle theft.
Warrant Arrest
On Oct. 2, Wostarek arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant in the 1600 block of N. Jefferson.
Miscellaneous
On Oct. 4,Anderson spoke with complainant in the 300 block of River in regard to vehicles driving onto property he owns at the dead-end of River Street.
On Oct. 5, Keeney spoke with individual at the police station in regard to a harassment complaint.
On Oct. 6, Anderson received a call in regard to an unknown slick substance on the roadway at E. Travis and N. Jackson.
