La Grange Golfers Shine at Home Tourney at Frisch Auf!

There was a lot of silver for the La Grange golfers at their home tournament last week at Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club. The Lep boys and girls both placed second in the team races, and La Grange’s Braxton Dahse and Ella Pineda both were second individually.

Schulenburg Falls to Hearne

The Schulenburg boys basketball team’s season came to an end Monday in Brenham as the Shorthorns lost to Hearne 50-39 in the first round of the 2A playoffs. Kaz McBride led the Shorthorns in scoring with 12 points.

The Fayetteville boys basketball team keeps doing things that haven’t been done in a long time. Earlier this month they won the program’s first outright district title since 1999.

La Grange Basketball Season Ends With Playoff Loss to Houston Yates

La Grange’s reward for putting together a great regular season and winning the first district boys basketball title in a decade? A matchup against Texas High School basketball royalty in the first round of the playoffs. The Leps faced Houston Yates (which has won nine state basketball titles) Monday in Katy and La Grange lost 78-62.
