The La Grange baseball team evened its record at 7-7 overall and 1-1 in district with a 4-2 win over Bellville at home Tuesday. La Grange’s Ty Stark pitched a complete game five-hitter with seven strikeouts.

In their third consecutive one-run game in district, the La Grange softball team beat Bellville on the road Friday 5-4. Ashtyn Smith homered and Iylah King, Landri Hernandez and Madi Adams all had two hits each.

The La Grange softball team had won 10 of its last 11 ballgames, but Smithville cooled off the Lady Leps a little Tuesday. The Lady Tigers beat La Grange 4-3 to get revenge after the Lady Leps beat Smithville 3-2 just a week ago.
