Baseball Playoffs

The baseball playoffs begin this week. • La Grange Leps will face Mickey Leland High School in a one-game series Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Lady Leps Bash Wheatley 23-0 in Playoff Opener

The La Grange softball team defeated Houston Wheatley 23-0 in a 4A playoff opener Thursday at Rice Consolidated. Alyssa Liccioni started the game and struck out all six batters she faced.

County Track Athletes Qualify for State Meet

Fayette County track athletes spread out all over the state for regional meets Friday and Saturday, and by finishing in the top two in their events, earned their way to the state meet at UT May 11-13.

Lady Horns Sweep Their Way Into the Second Round

The Schulenburg softball team swept Charlotte in a bestof- three playoff series 3-1 Friday and then 7-4 Saturday. In Saturday’s clincher, Kassidy Kubala had three hits.

La Grange Independent School District had six track and field athletes compete in the Special Olympics Texas Area 13 Meet held in Austin at McNeil High School, on Saturday, April 22. Flatonia Ends Softball Season vs. Weimar

The Flatonia Lady Dogs lost their final district softball game 19-0 last week to the District 29-2A champion Weimar. The Lady Dogs were held hitless by Reagan Wick of Weimar. The Lady Dogs finish 11-15 & 4-8 in district.
