The Flatonia Bulldog baseball team bowed out of the 2025 UIL Class 2A Division 2 Playoffs to the Burton Panthers in the Regional Semifinal round. This three game series was played at Bastrop HS.

The Schulenburg baseball team pulled off a playoff shocker Friday as the Shorthorns beat No. 1-ranked Johnson City 1-0 in a onegame 2A regional semifinal series in Seguin.

The Flatonia girls softball team lost their regional final playoff series to Ganado in two games, losing Thursday 10-0 Thursday and Friday 5-1. Thursday sophomore Jalee Trussell had two of the four hits for Flatonia.

The La Grange baseball team saw its season come to an end as the Leps lost both games of their regional semifinal series to Bridge City 4-2 Thursday and 6-2 Friday in Houston. The Leps end their season with a 16-15 record.

What the Flatonia girls softball team was able to do Saturday in their regional semifinal game against Holland was so dramatic that head coach Shane Walker said “someone described it as kind of like a movie.” Things were so dire for the Lady Bulldogs after they fell behind 10-6 and then got two outs in the final inning that at least one player was already in tears.
