Megan Davis has a Week To Remember with 7 Goals

La Grange senior soccer player Megan Davis has racked up the scoring for the Lady Leopards during their solid run to start the season. Davis recently netted two goals in a win vs Smithville, then booted five goals in an 11-3 win last Thursday against Rockdale. “It’s just a continuation of where she was last year,” said La Grange head girl’s soccer coach Chris Westall. “She’s definitely been able to convert her opportunities into goals. This week was the gold standard of that. Seven goals in one week is quite an accomplishment, so she’s getting the job done for us. We got to keep doing it. This week is going to be our toughest week with Giddings and Cameron on the schedule, but we’re putting our eggs in her basket to get those shots and then put them in.” An enormous stretch of games for Davis has earned her the nod for this edition’s Player of the Week.
