The Flatonia boys basketball team lost to Shiner Tuesday night. Leading scorers were Jaylon Anderson 21, Adrian Anderson 9, Diego Ramirez 7, Abe Saavedra 7.
The Fayetteville girls basketball team inched closer to a district title with a 77-37 victory over Dime Box Tuesday. The Lady Lions are now 15-13 overall and 9-0 in district. Scotti Beseda led Fayetteville in scoring with 25 points. Devynn Moeckel scored 16, Cambree Denham 14 and Shea Sladek 13.
Nearly 200 Angelo State University student-athletes, including Kobi Valchar of Schulenburg, have been named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for their academic achievement during the fall 2025 semester.
Both Fayetteville varsity basketball teams scored dominant victories over their in-county rivals Round Top-Carmine Friday. The Fayetteville girls won 47-26 as Cambree Denham led the way with 17 points and Scott Beseda added 13.
The La Grange girls basketball team went to Navasota Friday and escaped with a 5149 victory. The win vaults the Lady Leps into sole possession of first place with a 5-0 district mark and a 23-8 overall record. The Lady Leps host Smithville Tuesday at 6 p.m.
The La Grange varsity soccer teams had a memorable doubleheader against Caldwell Friday at home. First the Lady Leps honored staff members who have made a positive difference in their life.
