Flatonia sophomore Keegan Green showed up big on the defensive end during a 37-13 win against Thorndale last Friday with eight tackles and one interception. Green has also shown flashes of offense with 10 catches on the year and is the younger brother of former Athlete of the Week nominee Keyshaun Green. “He is one of the young guys that had to step,” said Flatonia head football coach Chris Freytag. “His production has been unreal. He has really stepped up. Proud of him.” Green’s outstanding defensive performance has made him our choice for this edition’s Player of the Week.
