Leps Clinch 2nd Place

With a 4-1 win over Giddings at home Monday the La Grange baseball team closed out the regular season and clinched second place in District 22-4A. Lep ace pitcher Trenton Barnes pitched five innings of three-hit ball with nine strikeouts.
With every run the Leps scored Monday there was quite a celebration, including a tunnel and bubbles. Here Bennett Barber comes home with La Grange’s second run of the game.

La Grange Regional Track Qualifiers

Numerous La Grange track athletes are making the four-hour trip this week to Bullard for the Region III-4A track meet in far northeast Texas. The top two finishers in each event at regionals advances to state, along with the best third place finisher out of all four regionals. Below are those Leopard regional qualifers:

Leps Win Area Track Title; Busload Headed to Regionals

The La Grange track team continued their stellar spring as the Leps boys won the 21/22-4AArea track team title Friday and the Lady Leps were runner-ups in the girls team division. The Leps had 134 team points and Giddings was second with 126.

Leps Baseball Battling for District Runner-Up Spot

The La Grange baseball team beat Manor New Tech 15-0 Saturday in a district game rescheduled because of last week’s storm. The win improves the Leps to 6-3 in district heading into Monday’s regular season finale at home at 7 p.m.

Fayetteville Baseball Playing Well

The Fayetteville baseball team swept Richards Saturday 9-0 and 14-1. In that 9-0 win, Fayetteville got multi-hit games from Logan Fritsch, Reid Gross, Jack Schley, Travis Gully and Easton Jaeger.
