Lady Leps Improve to 11-3 in District

Lady Leps Varsity Soccer Defeats Manor New Tech 3-2 The La Grange Lady Leps Varsity Soccer team secured a 3-2 win over Manor New Tech (MNT) at Leopard Stadium on Friday. With the win, the Lady Leps Varsity has won 13 of its last 16 matches and is 11-3 in district play.

Leps Get Pitching Gems from Jobb, Ehler

The La Grange baseball team improved to 6-5 this season with a pair of victories at their home tournament last week. The Leps defeated New Waverly 5-2 on the strength of a complete game pitching performance by Colt Jobb, who tossed seven innings of five-hit, two-run ball.

LG Boys Golf Team Wins at Columbus

La Grange boys varsity golf team won the Columbus tournament March 3 shooting a season low 326 Individual scores Adrian Meneses 74 (1st) Cohen Conard 81 (2nd) Dylan Kutchka 84 Grady Kocian 87 Collin Muesse 88 Boys JV#1 Team did not place as this was a varsity tournament but shot a score of 386.

Here are the results for varsity tennis at Monday’s tournament in Shiner: 2nd place- Eleanor Carey/ Ella Nygren (Girls Doubles) 3rd place- Kynzee Swafford (Girls Singles) 4th place- Jonathan Bamsch/Jahir Lopez-Ocon (Boys Doubles) 4th place- Paige Michalke/ Rogan Mihatsch (Mixed Doubles) “Although we did not have a full squad, still had some good results and hopefully we’ll be back to full strength after the break,” said head coach Chris Westall. “Ella Nygren is coming off the girls basketball season and jumped straight into tennis with little practice time before this tournament, so very good early result for this veteran team. Kynzee Swafford bounced back from a tough semifinal loss to claim a 3rd place metal in girls singles.”

LG’s Trey East Shines for Cougars at Big 12 Meet

Trey East III, a La Grange native and senior graduate student on the University of Houston track team placed second in the 400 meters in a personal best time of 45.54 at the Big 12 track indoor championships in Lubbock last weekend.
