Local Construction To Really Impact The MS-150 Route

The MS 150 bike ride benefiting multiple sclerosis research will roll in and out of La Grange on April 25-26 with an overnight stop at the Fayette County Fairgrounds.

This year’s ride will take a slightly different route due to bridge construction on FM 2145.

Riders arriving from Houston on Saturday normally get to the Fairgrounds via FM 2145 through Nechanitz. However, the Texas Department of Transportation currently has that road closed for a bridge replacement. This year, cyclists will get to the Fairgrounds via Post Oak Rd. and US 77.

Similarly, when the ride departs the Fairgrounds on Sunday morning, the cyclists will make their way to College Station via US 77 and Post Oak Rd. and then on toward Waldeck and Carmine.

Residents and property owners along Post Oak Rd. should expect heavy bicycle traffic on those two days. Look for official route maps in an upcoming issue of the Record.
