Trey Supak Makes Opening Day Start for Rangers Triple-A Team

La Grange native Trey Supak was chosen as the opening day starter for the Texas Rangers Triple-A team, the Round Rock Express, last week. Supak pitched the first 2.1 innings, giving up two earned runs and striking out three in what ended up being a 7-4 victory for Round Rock over Sugarland, the Triple-A affiliate for the Houston Astros.

Baseball/Softball Round Up

The Schulenburg baseball team improved to 18-3 overall and 8-0 in district with an 11-0 win over Weimar Tuesday. Ian Reeves pitched a complete game one-hitter with five strikeouts and he also homered, had three hits and four RBIs.

Lady Leps Come Back To Beat Giddings 5-4

After starting district with five straight losses, the La Grange softball team was in desperate need of a victory Tuesday to get them back in the playoff race. With important contributions from just about everybody on the team, the Lady Leps got that much-needed first district victory with a 5-4 win over Giddings in extra innings.

Diamond Round-Up: Leps, Shorthorns Win

The La Grange baseball team got a crucial victory at Giddings Saturday, beating the Buffaloes 4-2. Tristan Ulrich pitched 6.2 innings of three hit ball before being relieved by Eli Gillum.
Presley Cliffe slides into third on a triple hit to centerfield Friday night in a district matchup with Shiner. Cliffe knocked in Jalee Trussell to put a run on the board in the first inning. The Flatonia girls lost 18-4.

Flatonia Jump-a-Thon Winners Crowned

On March 25, the Flatonia 2nd graders participated in the Fayette County Helpers jump-a-thon. In all 32 boys and 28 girls participated (shown above). Guevera Wins Second At State in Powerlifting

La Grange High School senior Erick Guevara capped off an outstanding high school powerlifting career with an impressive second-place finish at the Texas High School State Powerlifting Meet held in Abilene last week. Competing in the 242-pound weight class, Guevara delivered an elite performance across all three lifts.
