The Flatonia baseball team defeated Louise 19-1 Tuesday as the Bulldogs improved to 5-10 overall this season. Kullen Kutac pitched a complete game five-hitter with seven strikeouts for the Bulldogs.

The Fayetteville baseball team improved to 3-4 this season with a 11-0 win over Bloomington Tuesday. Dylan Henneke pitched a no-hitter, striking out eight.

The Schulenburg baseball team defeated Ganado 5-3 Thursday to improve to 19-3 this season. It was the 16th consecutive victory for the Shorthorns.

The Flatonia softball team defeated Bloomington 19-0 Thursday. Presley Cliffe threw a complete game three-hitter with six strikeouts.

Fayette County 4-H members competed in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Food Challenge Contest on Tuesday, March 17. The Fayette County Senior Team, Shaker Bakers, placed 4th in the Senior Main Dish Category.

La Grange High School grads Austen Diggs and Trey East III both shined for their universities at the 98th annual Texas Relays in Austin over the weekend. Diggs is a sophomore runner for Baylor University and East is a senior for the University of Houston.

The Fayetteville golf team competed at their District Golf Tournament at Giddings Monday March 30. The La Grange baseball team dropped to 9-8 overall and 1-3 in district with a 10-3 loss at home Tuesday to Giddings. Jonah Ehler and Colt Jobb combined on the pitching effort for the Leps. Ehler and Howard Holmes each had two hits for La Grange. Holmes also had two RBIs.

The situation couldn’t have been more tense. But freshman Hannah Mitchell was calm.
