PAWS For the Cause Makes Donation to Prasek’s Fight Against Cancer

The first recipient of funds raised from La Grange football’s PAWS for the Cause Event is Nicole Prasek, an LGISD employee who is battling cancer. Prasek was presented a check from the PAWS For The Cause Committee, shown here. The Non-Profit raised the money by selling special football jerseys that were worn at the PAWS For The Cause Football Game, during which players could wear jerseys with the name of someone who was battling cancer on the back. Fayetteville’s Jaeger Southland Defensive Player of the Week

Fayetteville High School grad turned Texas A&M Corpus Christi volleyball star Brooklyn Jaeger earned a big collegiate honor this week. Stepping into a new role within the last few matches, Jaeger, a sophomore at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, was recognized for her transition as the Southland Conference’s Defensive Player of the Week announced by the league office Monday.

Shorthorns Bash Bloomington by 30 Points

The Schulenburg Shorthorns leap-frogged Bloomington in the district standings Friday with their 42-12 victory over the Bobcats. The Shorthorns are now 5-3 overall and 2-2 in district and in fourth place in District 15-2A.
Tavondrick Ellison got the Shorthorns on the scoreboard first with his TD run Friday.
