The La Grange High School band competed at the 4A Area marching competition Saturday in Liberty Hill and placed 16th out of 29 bands. Only the top 10 bands advance to the area finals, and the top five bands in the finals (Springtown, China Spring, Burnet, Alvarado and Gatesville) advanced to state

The La Grange volleyball team lost its playoff seeding match Friday with fellow district co-champ Giddings 19-25, 1825, 20-25. That loss drops La Grange’s overall record to 26-19 and 11-2 in district.

Walter Brock has announced his resignation as Athletic Director for the Schulenburg Independent School District. An agreement has been reached which permits the Board to pursue hiring another Athletic director and head football coach for Schulenburg High School.

Local Teams Grab District Titles With Wins in Regular Season Finales

La Grange The La Grange varsity volleyball team played their last home match Tuesday, beating Manor New Tech 25-9, 25-6, 25-11. The Lady Leps finished the regular season with a 26-18 overall record and a 11-1 in district mark, tying with Giddings for the district title for the third consecutive year.
