Girl With Local Ties on ‘Lil Wrangler Dance Team

Pictured is Adella Lehmann, daughter of Justin and Brenda Lehmann of College Station, granddaughter of David and Linda Lehmann of Warda and Greg and Donna Norris of Spring Branch. Adella is a member of the Lil’ Wrangler Dance Team. This is the original youth team, started by the Toups family in 1999, and they perform at various events around the state of Texas. Adella and her partner recently performed at the annual ‘Lil Wrangler Barn Dance in Bryan. The Lil’ Wrangler Dance Teams are patterned after the internationally known famous Aggie Wranglers from Texas A & M University.

Steven Gilbreath was the winner of $100 in our final football pick-it contest of the season sponsored by Farmers Lumber Company. Gilbreath was one of five perfect ballots turned in last week.

Flatonia Golf Course Vandalized

Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on November 17 at 9 a.m., Fayette County Deputy Herman Olvera responded to the Flatonia Golf Course in reference to vandalism. Unknown subject(s) caused damage to three separate putting greens and a flag pole.

Lady Leps Beat Weimar

The La Grange girls basketball team beat Weimar Friday 44-32 as the Lady Leps improved to 3-1 this season. Campbell Cooper led La Grange in scoring with 21 points.

Round Top-Carmine Volleyball Headed to State Semifinals

In a dominating two days of play at the regional volleyball tournament in Brenham Friday and Saturday, the Round Top-Carmine Cubettes won the regional title – and a berth in the state semifinals. After beating D’Hanis in three sets Friday in the regional semis, and Richards in four sets Saturday in the regional finals, the Cubettes (27-18) now advance to face Neches (37-8) Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
