Volleyball Round Up: RT-C and Fayetteville Notch Impressive Wins

• The Fayetteville volleyball team defeated Calvert Tuesday 25-12, 25-16, 25-18 as the Lady Lions improved their overall record to 6-4.

Kayme Schley led Fayetteville in kills with eight and Lainey Gromaski and Payton Jurecka each had four.

Rylie Dyer led in aces with seven and Marissa Rohde had six.

Schley and Dyer each had a team-high four digs. Rohde had 10 assists and Dyer had nine.

• The Round Top-Carmine volleyball team knocked off state-ranked Class 2A team Weimar Tuesday in four sets. No individual stats were available at press time.

• The Schulenburg volleyball team fell to Bellville 25-21, 25-15, 25-17 Tuesday as the Lady Horns fell to 5-6 overall.

Jessalyn Gipson led Schulenburg with eight kills and Reagan Dusek had four.

Kieryn Adams had three aces, and also led the team in digs with 12. Brooke Redding and Grace Schramek had three blocks.

• Tuesday the Flatonia volleyball team fought back after losing the first two sets against St. Paul. The Lady Bulldogs won the next two sets before falling in the fifth set.

The final scores were: 15-25, 20-25, 25-18, 25-18, 13-15.
