Vasquez Going to State
Flatonia High School’s Isaac Vasquez finished 2nd in his 242-pound weight class March 9 at the Boys’ Regional Powerlifting Meet in Colmesneil to earn a state berth. Vasquez will compete in the Division 4 state meet on Saturday, March 23 in Abilene. He hit his personal record in all three lifts at regionals with a 540-pound squat, 385 bench, and 495 deadlift.
