Two Former Lady Lep Greats Nearing End of College Softball Careers

Former La Grange High School star pitcher Missy Zoch was honored on the field with her family during Senior Weekend festivities in Lubbock Saturday.

Two members of La Grange High School’s state softball titlewinning teams in 2014 and 2016 are nearing the ends of very successful college careers.

Hatti Moore at University of Missouri is hitting .317 with 44 hits, 41 RBIs, 15 homers and 42 runs scored. She has been the team’s primary catcher all four years. The Missouri softball team is 35-13 and will play their final SEC conference series this weekend before the conference tournament beginning May 12.

Missy Zoch at Texas Tech has a 10-16 record with a 3.60 ERA with 113 strikeouts in 112 innings pitched this season, including throwing a no-hitter against Tarleton State. She was an All-Big East Conference player her freshmen and sophomore seasons for DePaul University before transferring to Texas Tech, where she has played the last three seasons. The Texas Tech softball team is 19-25 overall and will play in the Big 12 Tournament next week.
