Supak Excelling in Double-A

Former La Grange High School standout pitcher Trey Supak is pitching very well for the Oakland A’s Double-A minor league affiliate, the Midland Rockhounds.

Supak has a 4-0 record with a 4.58 ERA in 21 games with Midland this season, all as a reliever. He has thrown 37.1 innings with 36 strikeouts and just 13 walks.

Supak, now 27, was a key player on the 2013 state title La Grange baseball team. He was drafted out of high school by the Pittsburg Pirates in the second round in the 2014 draft. He was traded to Milwaukee and briefly spent time with the Brewers major league team in 2020 but did not get in a game in the majors. He’s been with the Athletics organization since 2021.
