Sodolak Crowned FCR’s Player of Week After First Cross Country Meet Title Run

Ellee Sodolak is a sophomore at La Grange High School and is a member on the crosscountry team. She recently won her very first meet of the season last week in Schulenburg.

La Grange cross-country head coach Chris Westall said he’s been very pleased with Sodolak’s performance over the years.

“Ellee is kind of a comeback story, in terms of cross-country,” said Westall. “I had her as a middle schooler and she definitely developed as a runner. She became one of my top runners then. As a freshman, she was playing many other sports and took a year off of cross-country. She’s now coming back to us as a sophomore and is, right off the bat, establishing that she’s running with some of the frontrunners I’ve had for years and now surpassing. She’s kind of setting the pace and the rest of the girls are going to have to catch up to her, so she’s off to a great start.”

Sodolak has also run her way to a nomination for Player of the Week.
