Sealy Star a Local Connection to Super Bowl

It’s hard to find any major local connections to the two teams playing in Sunday’s Super Bowl.

But there’s at least one.

Kansas City back-up tight end Ricky Seals-Jones was a star high school player for Sealy, and he even starred against La Grange in football and basketball games before he graduated in 2013. He then went on to play at Texas A&M, and in the NFL for the Cardinals and the Browns before being signed by the Chiefs last year.

He’s a cousin of Hall of Fame quarterback Eric Dickerson (who himself was a star at Sealy).
