Schulenburg Volleyball Team Downs Flatonia; Stays in 1st

The Schulenburg volleyball team defeated Flatonia Friday 25-10, 25-17, 25-12.

The Lady Horns improved to 28-12 overall and 7-0 in district with the victory.

Jessalyn Gipson had a team-high 11 kills for Schulenburg. Meredith Magliolo added nine and Emmrie Marx had eight.

Landry Zapalac had 29 assists. Keaton Walker had four aces.

Kieryn Adams had 13 digs and Zapalac had eight.

Flatonia fell to 2-5 in district play with the loss. Flatonia stats leaders included: Aces: Greenli Van-Zandt with 1.

Assists: Summer Sodek with 9, Katelin Sullivan with 6, and Elzah Herrera with 2.

Blocks: Emma Klozik and Katie Templeton both had 1 block each.

Digs: Summer Sodek with 8, Sadie Noska with 6, and Elzah Herrera with 5.

Kills: Summer Sodek and Katelin Sullivan both had 7 kills each. Emma Klozik added 3 kills as well.
