Schulenburg Hosts Cross Country Meet

The annual Schulenburg Cross Country Meet was held at the City of Schulenburg Sports Complex on Thursday Aug. 31.

With 20 schools competing the Horns were led by Jamison Bennett who finished in 3rd place vs. all 2A runners. Rudy Rodriguez medaled in the varsity girls division finishing 7th overall. The Horns and the Lady Horns teams both finished in 5th place overall.

La Grange’s Faith Greenwood was third in the girls varsity with a time of 14:10. Eleanor Carey was 8th with a time of 14:26. CeCe King was 33rd and Alley Olvera 34th.

La Grange’s Cody Krupala was 15th in the varsity boys race with a time of 20:05, BayleeAbbey was 19th andAntonio Suarez was 39th.

Flatonia’s Duke Sodek was 5th in the varsity boys with a time of 19:08.
