Schulenburg Gives State-Ranked Holland a Scare

Schulenburg led undefeated and No. 10-ranked Holland by 12 points early in the fourth quarter, but the Hornets rallied to score 14 unanswered points to nip the Shorthorns 36-32 Friday.

The Shorthorns had a big game offensively, amassing 500 total yards of offense. Quarterback Aaron Janecek ran for 141 yards and threw for 255 and four touchdowns.

Jayse Janda caught three passes, all for touchdowns.

The loss drops the Shorthorns to 4-5 overall this season and 3-2 in district, but they have now officially clinched a playoff berth. Schulenburg closes out the regular season by hosting Thrall this Friday in a game that will decide playoff positioning.
