Schulenburg Football Falls to Randolph in Season Opener

The Schulenburg football team went on the road and lost their season opener 44-22 at Randolph Friday in Luke Hobbs’ first game as head coach.

The Shorthorns had a big game from quarterback Aaron Janecek, who ran for 112 yards and a touchdown. The Shorthorns also scored on a fumble return by Da’terrion Houston and a pass from Houston to Byron Johnson. But it was not enough as Randolph rushed for 351 yards.

The Shorthorns host Rogers this week. Rogers is coming off a 48-20 loss to Little River Academy. Last season Rogers beat Schulenburg 5514.
