Marburger Gets 300-Pound Hog in Warda
John D. Marburger poses with a 300-plus lb. boar feral pig which he snared on Sept. 22 on his farm near Warda. The pig was snared by his snout on a 3/32” wire snare, and he was very upset. “I say 300 lb. plus because he bottomed out my scale at 280 lbs., and he was still sitting on the ground. My snaring effort is devoted to reducing attendance at the Warda chapters of the coyote and feral pig family reunions. On Sept. 3, 2023, I snared coyote No. 111, and this feral pig was No. 32. I have noticed that since I started snaring in the spring of 2018, I have seen more cottontail rabbits than before,” Marburger said.
