Local Community League Cancels Baseball Season

Organizers of the local baseball community league announced last Thursday that they have decided to cancel the remainder of the 2020 baseball season.

“In light of the current COVID-19 situation, the decision has been made to cancel the 2020 Community League Baseball season,” said Roland Zoch in an email to the Record last Thursday.

The league suspended play in mid-June after a player on one of the teams tested positive for coronavirus.

Zoch said there could be an exhibition game played later this month between Serbin and Weimar.
