LG Girls Fall to Bay City

The La Grange girls soccer team went to Bay City and lost to the state-ranked foe 5-1. Kaelyn Ortiz scored the only goal for the Lady Leps and the defensive standout was Ellee Sodolak.

“Tough loss, but we played hard in some challenging weather conditions (25+ mph winds) against a very good team,” said La Grange head girls soccer coach Chris Westall. “This home and away series with Bay City has been very beneficial for us although it’s resulted in two losses. We had our chances and although it shows we’re close, we still have some work to do to win at the top-tier 4A level.”

The Lady Leps overall record is now 5-3-1 as they prepare to open district play at Smithville Tuesday Feb. 9 at 7:15 p.m.
