Leps Baseball Beats New Tech 16-6
The La Grange baseball team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 16-6 victory over Manor New Tech Tuesday at home.
“Feels good, feels like this one got us back on track,” said La Grange’s Kadyn Hall, who pitched the complete game.
Tuesday’s win improves the Leps to 11-10 overall and 3-2 in district. It also helps to erase some of the sting of last week’s sweep at the hands of Giddings.
“Last week was so taxing,” La Grange manager Robert Barber said. “The kids moved on faster than I did and they came out and showed it tonight. Kids have a shorter memory than we do and in this game, if you don’t have a short memory, it will just devour you.”
Hall pitched the complete game, allowing 10 hits and striking out three.
Braeden Wilder had four hits including a pair of doubles with five RBIs.
Wyatt Wick and Hall each had two hits. Wick scored four runs and Hall drove in three.
Bennett Barber hit a triple.
The Leps also drew eight walks.
The Leps play at Manor New Tech Friday at 7 p.m.
