Lep Golfers Win Home Tourney

The La Grange boys golf team won first place at their home tournament held last week at Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club.

The Leps shot a combined 353 to beat second place Sealy by 16 strokes.

Individually, Garrett Gilmore led the way for the Leps by shooting an 80, three strokes behind top individual Ty Thomas of Columbus.

La Grange’s Grant Juno shot a 84, which tied him for third. Ben Gerik shot a 94, Grant Hollek a 95, Walker Hightower a 100, and Jeremy Sager shot a 120.

On the girls side, Caldwell was first with a team 365, Normangee was second, Bellville third and La Grange was fourth with a combined 401.

The Lady Leps top golfers were Gabi Janak and Maddi Mach, who both shot 96. Kate Fitzpatrick shot a 103, Ella Pineda a 106 and Michael-Leah Hart a 120.

Other La Grange individual golfers included Elizabeth Hart (112), Maddy Kates (118) and Lauren Faldyn (124).
