Fayetteville Boys, RT-C Girls, La Grange Boys Win District Track Team Titles

The La Grange boys totaled 192 points to win the District 20-4A team title Thursday in Smithville. The Leps edged Smithville, which had 164 points.

The La Grange girls finished second as a team with 207 points, behind district champ Giddings, which had 239 points.

The top four finishers in each event advance to the area meet. Those athletes are listed in the results below.

Shiner claimed the team titles for both the boys and girls at the District 28-2A track meet Wednesday in Ganado, but Schulenburg was second in both divisions and Flatonia was third in both divisions.

The top four winners advance to the area meet April 14 in Thrall.

Fayette County teams claimed both team titles at the District 29-1A track meet Wednesday in Fayetteville. Round Top-Carmine won the girls title with 250.5 points over second place Fayetteville. Meanwhile, the Fayetteville boys ran away with the team title, with 238 points, way ahead of second place Calvert, which had 156. The top four finishers advance to the area meet April 12 in Runge.
