Laurel Betak No-Hits Moulton

The Flatonia Lady Dog softball team split their four district games that they played last week. The ladies defeated Moulton 20-1 and 17-1 in a double header that they played last Friday. Earlier in the week, Flatonia lost to Schulenburg 10-0 on Monday, and lost to Ganado 22-6 on Tuesday.

Laurel Betak led the Lady Dogs at the plate vs Moulton. She collected six hits total in both games, with one being a triple and one an inside the park Home Run. Kaylee Martinez had three hits total vs. Moulton. Two doubles were hit by Abby Drabek. Flatonia players getting one hit each included: Dallynn Bishop, Payton Guzman, Elzah Herrera, Bri Luckey, and Kinsey Cedillo. Betak pitched a no-hitter in the first three inning game vs Moulton. While Summer Sodek gave up only one hit in the second Moulton game. Sodek and Betak both split up the pitching duties vs. Schulenburg and Ganado. Betak had the only Flatonia hit vs. Schulenburg. The Lady Dogs collected seven hits vs. Ganado. Betak & Sodek each had two hits, while Drabek, Guzman, and Bishop each had one. Drabek’s was a two run home Run.
