Lady Leps, ‘Horns, RT-C All Win District Volleyball Matches

The La Grange varsity volleyball team defeated Austin Achieve Friday 25-15, 2512, 25-14 as the Lady Leps improved to 14-20 overall and 2-2 in district.

Carley Ulrich led La Grange in kills Friday with nine and Kylie Trlicek had seven.

Phoebe Tucker had a team-high five digs and Haylie Cooper added four.

Cooper had 10 aces and Jena Jobb had six.

Trlicek led in kills with eight and Tucker had five.

In JV action, La Grange defeated Austin Achieve 256, 25-14 to improve to 3-1 in district and 12-8 overall.

The Lady Leps play at Giddings Tuesday.

District 22-4A volleyball

Schulenburg

Beats Flatonia

The Schulenburg Lady Horns defeated Flatonia Saturday 25-13, 25-23, 25-14.

Schulenburg improved to 22-12 overall and 2-0 in district with the victory.

Landry Zapalac had 38 assists for the Lady Horns. Reagan Dusek had 15 kills and Meredith Magliolo and Emmrie Marx each had 13. Brooke Redding had three.

Kieryn Adams had 20 digs.

Keaton Walker had two aces and seven digs.

Flatonia stats leaders included: Aces: Elzah Herrera with 2 and Greenli VanZandt with 1; Assists: Summer Sodek with 15 and Katelin Sullivan with 5; Blocks: Katelin Sullivan and Emma Kosler with 3 each; Digs: Emma Kosler with 12, Summer Sodek with 7, and Elzah Herrera with 3; Kills: Katelin Sullivan with 11, Summer Sodek with 6, and Emma Klozik with 4.

RT-C Beats

Fayetteville

Round Top-Carmine defeated Fayetteville Friday 2514, 25-12, 25-17 in district volleyball action and the Cubettes improved to 25-7 overall and 1-0 in district.

Fayetteville fell to 11-20 overall with the loss and 0-1 in district.

RT-C stat leaders include: Mallory Krause 6 kills, 8 digs, 19 assists, 3 aces; Tess Eilers 5 kills, 13 digs, 2 assists, 1 ace; Kennedy Flinn 4 kills, 1 solo block, 1 assist block, 1 assist; Kaysie Ward 3 kills, 1 solo block, 1 assist block, 2 digs; Jessica Rohde 3 kills, 1 solo block, 1 assist block, 2 digs, 1 assist; Jill Eilers 10 kills, 1 assist block, 7 digs, 8 assists; Maggie Salinas 23 digs, 1 assist, 8 aces; Kim Rohde 1 kill, 4 digs, 2 aces; Avery Nelius 1 dig.

Fayetteville got seven kills from Kayme Schley in the match with two from Peyton Jurecka and two from Tara Vitek.

Marissa Rohde had four aces and 12 digs. Schley had 10 digs and Emily Keilers had nine. Rohde had eight assists.
