Lady Leps Fall to Bryan Rudder

The La Grange girls basketball team needed a tough game and they got one Monday.

The Lady Leps have been blowing out most of their district competition by wide margins and head coach Heath Golan was concerned his district championship team was not getting battle-tested enough for the upcoming postseason.

So he added Monday’s game at Bryan Rudder and La Grange got all it wanted and more as Rudder won 79-40.

Rudder improved to 14-2 with the win. La Grange fell to 10-5 overall. The Lady Leps are 7-0 in district (9-0 counting forfeits) and play their final 20- 4A game Friday when they host Austin LBJ at 6 p.m. Then the playoffs await.
