The La Grange softball team defeated Houston Wheatley 23-0 in a 4A playoff opener Thursday at Rice Consolidated. Alyssa Liccioni started the game and struck out all six batters she faced.
Offensively La Grange got two hits each from Liccioni, Haylie Cooper and Marissa Gonzales. Rielynn Hall drove in four runs and Sarah Kay had two RBIs.
