Lady Horns Volleyball Team Receives Academic Award

The Schulenburg Lady Horns Volleyball Team is proud to announce that they are a recipient of the 2020-2021 United States Marine Corps-American Volleyball Coaches Association (USMC/AVCA) Team Academic Award. It is the 8th consecutive year that the Lady Horns have received the award.

Team members include Claire Antosh, Madison Brooks, Jessalyn Gipson, Julie Guentert, Mackenzie Kunschick, Kloe Kutac, Regan Lux, Meredith Magliolo, Morgan Marburger, Megan Ohnheiser, Erica Otto, Tamara Otto, Airyanna Rodriguez, Jordan Sommer and Lily Toro.

413 high school teams from across the United States of America received recognition. 39 of those teams were from Texas.

The Lady Horns also received the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll Designation. This designation is for high school teams that were in the Top 20% in the United States based on their team cumulative GPA.

100 teams in the United States of America received recognition with 21 of those teams being from Texas.

The Lady Horns overall cumulative team GPA for 2020-2021 was 99.484.
