La Grange vs. Bellville

La Grange vs. Bellville

When: 7 p.m. Friday Where: Bellville Records: La Grange is 4-2 overall and 2-0 in district. Bellville is 4-3 and 2-0.

Of Note: This game might very well decide the district title as the only two undefeated teams in 12-4A play battle one another. La Grange is coming off a 52-41 victory over La Marque. Leps senior Dillan Johnson ran for five touchdowns in that game. La Grange has not scored less than 31 points in a game this season and has won four games in a row ... Bellville, in uncharacteristic fashion, suffered through a three-game losing streak earlier this season (falling to Stafford, Columbus and Wimberley) but has bounced back with a 35-13 win over Hitchcock and then an 85-0 flattening of Katy Harmony the last two weeks ... Bellville, like always, runs the Slot-T offense and is averaging 300 yards a game on the ground and just 57 yards a game through the air. Senior Travis Turner leads the way with 820 yards and 16 TDs this season.

Last meeting: Bellville beat La Grange 56-21 last year as the Brahmas ran for 538 yards. Eli Gillum ran for two TDs last year against Bellville.
