Lady Horns Tourney Runner-Ups

The Schulenburg volleyball team improved its record to 13-12 overall after a runnerup finish in the Gold Bracket at the Goliad/Cuero Tournament over the weekend.

The Lady Horns beat Beeville Jones and Three Rivers in bracket play before falling to Cuero and Goliad. Then the Lady Horns beat Sinton in the tourney semifinals before falling to 5A Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial in the tourney finals 20-25. 23-25. Jessalyn Gipson led the Lady Horns in kills with eight in the finale. Landry Zapalac had 16 assists and Kieryn Adams had 12 digs.
