Lady Horns Sweep Their Way Into the Second Round

The Schulenburg softball team swept Charlotte in a bestof- three playoff series 3-1 Friday and then 7-4 Saturday.

In Saturday’s clincher, Kassidy Kubala had three hits. Rilee Sanchez and Olivia Mathis each had two hits and Hailey Kahlden hit a homer.

Brianna Vavra pitched a complete game seven-hitter with eight strikeouts.

The Lady Horns (17-8 overall) now advance to play Refugio in a best-of-three series later this week.
