Numerous La Grange track athletes are making the four-hour trip this week to Bullard for the Region III-4A track meet in far northeast Texas. The top two finishers in each event at regionals advances to state, along with the best third place finisher out of all four regionals. Below are those Leopard regional qualifers:

I thought our performance was great. We want to win the district meet and then go as far as we can, but the kids stepped up and said, let’s win another one (area team title, which they did) so it was really nice. Our expectations at regionals are high. We are going to have to run our best because Region 3 is, no doubt, the fastest in the state.”

– La Grange boys track coach Rusty Cauthern

Across the board, we are pretty young, so it was really fun to see them step up and compete at the area meet. Some of them were not pleased with their results at district, so last week at the area meet they really got after it. Bullard (regional site) will be all new to us, even for the girls who have been to regionals before. But they are focused and know what’s possible ahead of them. ” – La Grange girls track coach Leslie Coltrain
