La Grange vs. La Vernia

When: 7 p.m. Friday Where: La Vernia Records: La Grange is 0-2 and La Vernia is 2-0.

Of Note: The Leps head to La Vernia still looking for their first win of the season and they will face a Bears team that has been scoring points in bunches. La Vernia beat Burnet 49-27 in the season opener and last week smashed Gonzales 49-7. La Vernia Junior QB Keegan Hajek has thrown for 383 yards so far this season. La Vernia went 9-3 last season and returns seven starters on each side of the ball. Bear WR return Colten Schmid had over 1,000 yards receiving last year ... The Leps amassed over 500 yards of offense last week but have allowed an average 65.5 points per game so far.

Last meeting: La Grange defeated La Vernia 37-2 last season. Bravion Rogers threw a touchdown pass and caught two TDs passes. Bear Meng threw three touchdowns and Jaxon Cooper and Oliver Gunn caught TD passes for the Leps. La Grange also snagged three interceptions.
