Of Note: The winner of this game clinches a playoff spot will be all alone in second place, while the loser will fall into a tie for third ... The Leps are coming off a two-point loss to Giddings resulting from a lackluster second half where they struggled offensively. Gonzales, meanwhile beat Smithville last week 45-33 led by a four-TD passing performance from quarterback Cole
Duty.
Last meeting: Last year the Leps beat Gonzales 50-18 as Bennett Barber and Bear Meng threw for touchdown passes and C.J. Davis ran for two scores and Jakobe Wilkerson scored another.

Schulenburg vs. Holland
When: 7:30 p.m. Friday Where: Holland Records: Schulenburg is 4-4 overall and 3-2 in district. Holland is 8-0 ad 4-0 in district.
Of Note: After a frustrating loss to Weimar last week that snapped a three game winning streak, the Shorthorns try to rebound against an undefeated Holland team. But the Hornets are vulnerable, especially defensively and are allowing more than 20 points a game this season, but Holland has been really good running the football this season.
Last meeting: Holland beat Schulenburg 53-33 last season despite Jayse Janda running for two touchdowns and throwing two TD passes.

Weimar vs. Flatonia
When: 7:30 p.m. Friday Where: Weimar Records: Flatonia is 5-3 overall and 2-2 in district. Weimar is 7-2 and 3-2.
Of Note: This pretty much amounts to a must-win game for the Bulldogs in terms of the playoff race. Flatonia was off last week, giving them a chance to heal after losing to Schulenburg 43-28 two weeks ago. Meanwhile, this is the regular season finale for Weimar, which has their bye next week. The Wildcats ran for 300 yards in last week’s 30-23 win over Schulenburg. Even though the Wildcats rushed the ball 58 times in that game, their by-committee rushing attack didn’t have a single player run for more than 100 yards ...The Bulldogs have struggled through the air this season (averaging just 70 yards per game passing) but can churn up a lot of yards on the ground with Kobe Burton (578 yard rushing this season with 11 TDs) and Keegan Green (669 yards rushing with 5 TDs).
Last meeting: Flatonia smashed Weimar last season 64-27 as the Bulldogs ran for six touchdowns, including two by Jaidyn Guyton.
