Freshman Quarterback Targac Shines as Flatonia Edges the Palacios Sharks 28-24 in Season Opener

The Flatonia football team grabbed a 28-24 victory over Palacios in the season opener for both teams Friday in Flatonia.

The Bulldogs ran for 230 yards as a team led by 119 yards from freshman quarterback Boston Targac and 100 from Adrian Anderson.

Targac ran for two touchdowns and he also threw touchdown passes to Bryson Morrill and Zayden Perez.

Owen Kosler led in tackles for Flatonia with 16 and Freddy Manzano and Carmine Valdez each had 15. Morrill snagged an interception.

Flatonia plays at Louise this Friday. Louise lost 52-12 last week against Granger.
