Football’s Back in Force This Friday

For the first time in recent memory all the Fayette County footballs teams had scheduled off weeks last Friday, but football’s back this week in a big way.

The La Grange Leopards are riding a three-game win streak as they travel to Cuero for a district opener against a Gobblers team that is suddenly looking a lot better after a 0-3 start. Since then Cuero has beaten Navarro 42-21 and Uvalde 28-0.

Meanwhile, Schulenburg returns to the field for the first time this Friday since a tough loss to Weimar that snapped a four-game win streak. The Shorthorns play at Ganado.

Flatonia, meanwhile, has another week off before hosting Weimar Oct. 16.
