Flatonia Rallies to Knock Off Thorndale 35-28

The Flatonia football team rallied from a 14-point deficit to beat Thorndale 35-28 Friday.

The win improves the Bulldogs’ district record to 1-1 and their overall record to 4-2.

Thorndale stayed winless with a 0-6 overall record and a 0-2 mark in district.

Kobe Burton’s 15-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter broke a 28-28 tie. That was Burton’s second TD run of the game and he had a teamhigh 127 yards rushing.

Keegan Green also ran for two touchdowns for Flatonia, and he had 113 yards rushing. Beck Zimmerman also ran for a touchdown Friday.

The Bulldogs play at Hearne this week, which lost 10-0 to Schulenburg Friday.
