Fayetteville Sweeps Tidehaven

The Fayetteville volleyball team opened its season Monday, downing Tidehaven in three sets, powered by a 23-kill night by sophomore Brooklyn Jaeger.

The Lady Lions advanced to the regional finals last season and have high hopes for another big season in 2020.

“We are looking forward to see how the returners and new players work together to continue the success of the last two seasons,” head coach Clint Jaeger said. “We are young again this season, but looking to take that extra step to get to the state tournament. Of course, the big questions will be can we stay healthy and how will the pandemic effect the season. We will continue to work hard and control what is controllable. There are other factors that we have no control of, so we can’t worry about those.”
