Fayetteville Star Freshman Supak Doing it All As Our Newest County Athlete of the Week

Fayetteville freshman and multi-sport athlete Keagan Supak has taken command of the star role for the track team, basketball team, and baseball team. Supak recently led the Lions to an area track team title in Runge where he placed first in the 800 meter-dash, 400 meter-dash, and high jump. He also was part of the 4x400 team relay that was first to cross the finish line. With an impressive track resume, Supak gets it done on the baseball diamond as well. “Keagan’s one of our most versatile players,” said Fayetteville head baseball coach Clint Jaeger. “We ask him to play a lot of different positions and he doesn’t have a problem doing any of them.” Supak leads the baseball team in four stat categories which include batting average at .422, 19 hits, 23 runs scored, and a 1.62 earned run average in eight games as a pitcher. “He’s our leadoff guy in the lineup, but could also be hitting third or fourth”, Jaeger said. “He’s probably got some of the most power we’ve got, too. He’s just a real versatile player and allows us to do a lot of things. We can move him around a lot. He’s been our spark plug in our offense. Getting things going, scoring a lot of runs.” Supak is one that coaches dream of with his production in many aspects, making him our pick for this edition’s Player of the Week.
