Bulldogs Lose Their First Game of the Season

The Flatonia football team lost its first game of the season Friday at Nixon-Smiley.

The Bulldogs (2-1) got two touchdowns from Adrian Anderson (one receiving and one rushing) and freshman quarterback Boston Targac also ran for a touchdown but it was not enough to beat the Mustangs, who improved to 2-1 with the win. Carmine Valdez led the Bulldogs in tackles with 15. Zayden Perez had nine tackles and Owen Kosler had eight.

Flatonia returns to action this week at home against Granger (1-2), which beat Louise 52-12 in their season opener but has since been blown out by Goldthwaite and Mason the last two weeks.
