Baseball Roundup: Leps Now 5-4

The La Grange baseball team went to the Cameron Tournament last week and on Thursday beat Georgetown Gateway 15-4 before losing to Troy 3-1. Friday the Leps beat New Waverly 17-7 but lost to Lake Belton 11-1.

Individual stats from those games were not available at press time.

La Grange has an overall record of 5-4 now.

This week the Leps host the La Grange Tournament.

Flatonia

Flatonia’s Dayton Cliffe threw a four-hit shutout as the Bulldogs beat Tidehaven Friday 3-0. Taylor O’Reilly had a pair of doubles. Flatonia is 2-3 overall.

Fayetteville

The Fayetteville baseball team went 1-2 in tournament action Friday and Saturday.

The Lions lost to Thrall 8-3. Travis Gully, Parker Vitek and Reid Gross pitched in that game. Keagan Supak hit a double and Logan Fritsch drove in two runs. Fayetteville then lost to the Hutto JV 3-1. Supak drove in the only run.

Saturday the Lions beat Hempstead 10-2. Gross had a double and drove in two. Logan Fritsch was the winning pitcher.

Fayetteville’s overall record is now 2-2.
